Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C) and prepare three greased and floured 6-inch cake tins lined with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together cake flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda; set aside.
- In another small bowl, combine milk, sour cream, and vanilla; set aside.
- Using an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar on medium speed until smooth. Gradually add egg whites while mixing until fully incorporated.
- Alternate adding the dry mixture and wet mixture to the butter mixture on low speed until combined without overmixing.
- Divide the batter among the prepared pans and bake for approximately 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow cakes to cool in pans for 15-20 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
