  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar (packed)
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 3 tablespoons Trader Joe's ube spread
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine all dough ingredients until smooth.
  2. Knead the dough for about 5 to 10 minutes until elastic.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl and let rise for approximately 1 hour until doubled in size.
  4. Prepare the filling by mixing together brown sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter until well combined.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  6. Spread softened butter over the rolled-out dough and sprinkle with filling mixture.
  7. Roll tightly into a log and cut into 1.5-inch pieces.
  8. Arrange cut pieces in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 to 45 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Make frosting by beating together cream cheese, unsalted butter, ube spread, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  11. Frost warm rolls before serving.
