- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter and stir in brown sugar until bubbly.
- Remove from heat and mix in vanilla extract and salt until smooth.
- In a large bowl, combine Chex cereal and drizzle the butter mixture over it; fold gently until coated.
- Spread the mixture evenly on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes, stirring halfway through.
- Allow to cool completely before serving.
