Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Beat softened butter and sugar in a large bowl until fluffy; add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in vanilla extract and strawberry puree.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture, alternating with milk until just mixed.
- Divide batter into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pans before transferring to wire racks.
- Prepare icing by beating cream cheese and butter until smooth; gradually add powdered sugar, then mix in Oreo crumbs.
- Layer cake with icing between layers and cover the entire cake with remaining icing.
