  • 5 cups mini marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 6 cups Rice Krispie cereal
  • 14 oz sweetened shredded coconut
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 (13.4 oz) can dulce de leche
  • 6 oz semisweet chocolate (melted)

Instructions

  1. Toast the coconut in a large sauté pan over medium-high heat until golden brown. Set aside half for garnish.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, mix dulce de leche and milk; heat for about 1½ minutes until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, melt marshmallows and butter together in the microwave (about 2 minutes).
  4. Combine melted marshmallow mixture with Rice Krispie cereal until evenly coated.
  5. Press half of the Rice Krispie mixture into a greased 8×12-inch pan.
  6. Spread the dulce de leche mixture and remaining toasted coconut over this layer.
  7. Top with the remaining Rice Krispie mixture and press down gently.
  8. Drizzle melted chocolate over the top and sprinkle with reserved coconut.
  9. Allow to set before cutting into bars.
