Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 package (3.4 oz) instant banana pudding mix
- 1 cup whipped cream or whipped topping
- 2–3 ripe bananas (sliced)
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mix yellow cake mix, water, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Pour into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow cooling completely.
- In another bowl, whisk together cold milk and instant banana pudding mix for about 2 minutes until thickened. Gently fold in whipped cream.
- Poke holes in the cooled cake and spread the pudding mixture evenly over it. Layer with sliced bananas and crushed vanilla wafers.
- Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form and spread over the banana layer.
- Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
