- 2 cups peeled and diced apples
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Optional toppings: caramel sauce or ice cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine diced apples, sugars, cinnamon, flour, and lemon juice until well mixed.
- Roll out pie crusts on a floured surface and cut into small circles using a cookie cutter.
- On half the circles, spoon apple filling into the center and cover with another circle of dough. Seal edges with a fork.
- Cut small slits on top for steam release and brush with beaten egg.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
