  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 ounces)
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well mixed.
  3. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes at the bottom.
  4. Add half of the beef mixture over the potatoes, followed by half of the cream of mushroom soup mixed with milk.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  6. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and drizzle melted butter on top.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving.
