  • 1 cup unsalted butter (sweet cream)
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ⅔ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ⅔ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 16 oz white frosting
  • Neon green gel food coloring
  • M&M candies (orange, green, purple)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in one bowl.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter with sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla; mix well.
  5. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients until fully mixed.
  6. Stir in half of the M&Ms into the dough.
  7. Shape dough into 2-inch balls and place on lined baking sheets; press remaining M&Ms on top.
  8. Bake for 9-11 minutes until edges are firm; cool on wire racks.
  9. Microwave frosting for about 15 seconds; mix in neon green food coloring.
  10. Inject frosting into cookies using a flavor injector.
