Instructions

- In a bowl, mix flour, softened butter, sugar, egg, and yeast mixture; knead until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Prepare the honey-almond topping by melting butter, honey, and sugar; stir in almonds and cook until golden.
- Roll out risen dough in a greased springform pan, spread topping evenly, and bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes.
- Cool completely before slicing horizontally into two layers.
- Whip cream and prepare custard with milk, sugar, cornstarch; combine both for filling.
- Fill one layer with cream filling, top with the other layer, and refrigerate for 1-2 hours before serving.
