Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt in one bowl; set aside.
- In another bowl, cream softened butter with granulated sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients, alternating with milk until just mixed.
- Divide the batter into two bowls; tint one pink and one blue.
- Fill each cupcake liner with equal amounts of both colors, swirling gently with a toothpick for a marbled effect.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
- For frosting, beat softened butter until creamy; gradually add powdered sugar, cotton candy flavoring, and milk until smooth. Tint half pink and half blue.
- Frost cooled cupcakes with both colors of frosting and garnish with cotton candy tufts.
