Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt in one bowl; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter with granulated sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients, alternating with milk until just mixed.
  5. Divide the batter into two bowls; tint one pink and one blue.
  6. Fill each cupcake liner with equal amounts of both colors, swirling gently with a toothpick for a marbled effect.
  7. Bake for 18–20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
  8. For frosting, beat softened butter until creamy; gradually add powdered sugar, cotton candy flavoring, and milk until smooth. Tint half pink and half blue.
