  • 10 g melted butter
  • 1 tbsp apricot jam (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pâte sucrée by mixing flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Add cold butter and mix until crumbly. Incorporate the egg to form dough. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Make the compote by melting butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add chopped apples and sugar; cook until soft. Optionally add vanilla or cinnamon.
  3. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Roll out chilled dough into the tart pan, trim excess dough, and spread warm compote evenly on top.
  4. Arrange thinly sliced apples over the compote. Brush with melted butter.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown. Brush with apricot jam if desired.
