- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp cocoa
- 1 cup boiling water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and cocoa. Stir in melted butter, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Spread the batter in a greased casserole dish.
- In another bowl, mix topping ingredients and sprinkle evenly over the batter without stirring.
- Pour boiling water over the top carefully—do not stir!
- Bake for about 30 minutes until set but slightly jiggles in the center.
- Serve warm with ice cream or your favorite toppings.
