- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion (diced)
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 3 cups low-sodium beef broth
- 1 cup long-grain white rice

- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

- 3 tbsp butter
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Sauté diced onion until translucent (3-4 minutes).
- Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Combine uncooked rice, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; stir well.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes until rice is tender.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, melt remaining butter and mix in milk, cheddar cheese, and Parmesan until creamy.
- Pour cheese sauce into the skillet with beef and rice mixture; stir until combined.
- Cook uncovered for another few minutes to meld flavors.
