Ingredients
- 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
- Prepare the apple filling by melting butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon. Cook for 4-5 minutes until apples soften. Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry; add it to the apple mixture and cook for another 1-2 minutes until thickened. Let cool slightly.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Separate biscuit dough into individual biscuits and flatten each one to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Place a tablespoon of cooled apple filling in the center of each biscuit. Fold edges over filling, pinching tightly to seal.
- Dip each ball into melted butter, then roll in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon before placing seam-side down on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Allow cooling for a few minutes before serving warm.

Keywords: Choose firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp for the best flavor. Feel free to customize fillings with nuts or caramel for extra sweetness. Keep an eye on baking time as ovens may vary; look for golden brown color as an indicator of doneness.
